Haryana Cabinet gives Nod for Amendment in Affordable Housing Policy-2013
Haryana Cabinet has given approval for amendment in the Affordable Housing Policy-2013 notified under Section 9A of Haryana Development and Regulation of Urban Areas Act, 1975 (Act no. 8 of 1975).
NAREDCO, a Real Estate Industry Council, has been pressing for a Rs 350-500 per sq. ft. increase in the rates in Hyper, High, Medium and Low Zones.
The rates of allotment of flats stands prescribed in Clause 5 (i) of the Affordable Housing Policy-2013. These rates were approved in the year 2013 i.e. more than eight years back and since then, the allotment rates have not been revised. Therefore, in order to re-orient the allotment to adjust atleast partially towards the ground realities, it is proposed to revise the allotment rates by only Rs 200 per sq. ft. of the dwelling units under Affordable Housing Policy as per decision of the Cabinet, held under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar here today.
